Please submit your Shark Tank submission in a word document using the following format highlighted here:

1. Introduction/Problem

  • Include the team, founders, board members and advisors
  • Describe the market opportunity and customer
  • What is the market problem you are trying to solve?

2. Solution

  • What is your novel solution?
  • Include details of any intellectual property
  • Who are your competitions?
  • What are your competitive advantages?

3. Financial data

  • Describe your regulatory pathway
  • Provide any reimbursements/pricing (key revenue) information
  • What is your go-to-market strategy?

4. The Ask

  • Define your value proposition
  • What is your capital raise goal and use of funds strategies?

Please note the following ground rules:

  1. This opportunity is offered to individual inventors as well as inventors from small commercial entities and academic institutions.
  2. Technology incorporated in products already offered for sale prior to the ISTA conference is not eligible.
  3. Inventions must directly relate to arthroplasty. They can include devices, methods, processes, materials, or software. Innovations can also be in clinical care, patient information, outcomes, navigation, imaging, operating room efficiency, sterility, sensors, digital health, and artificial intelligence, etc.
  4. Please Note: You are responsible for protecting your Intellectual Property. Before disclosing any innovations to ISTA, including abstract reviewers and conference attendees, presenters are responsible for the legal protection of any information that they wish to keep confidential. One possible method is via a provisional patent. Please check with legal representatives prior to disclosure to ISTA through abstract submission.
  5. The paper must be uploaded as one single file in Word format which includes the images and tables if any.
