“Young Investigators’ Afternoon – ISTA Munich 2026
Tuesday, 15 September 2026 | From 13:30 |
The ISTA Munich 2026 Congress will open with a dynamic and inspiring Young Investigators’ Afternoon, designed to connect, empower, and highlight the next generation of experts in arthroplasty.
Curated by the ISTA Young Investigator Committee, this interactive afternoon will focus on career development, mentorship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and future perspectives in arthroplasty.
The program will begin at 13:30 with an inspiring, talk‑show‑style session featuring candid insights and personal “confessions” from experts representing diverse career paths. A dedicated coffee break will then provide an informal setting to engage directly with senior experts in the field.
At 15:00, the afternoon will continue with engaging Speed Debates, putting current and thought‑provoking topics in arthroplasty into the spotlight through lively discussion and audience interaction.
From 16:30 to 18:00, the Young Investigators’ Short Talk Session will take place, offering a focused platform for Young Investigators to present their research and engage with an international audience. During this session, the spotlight is placed entirely on their work, ideas, and scientific contributions.
ISTA Young Investigator Award
We are proud to introduce the ISTA Young Investigator Award, which will be presented to an outstanding contributor from the Young Investigators’ sessions on 15 September. This award recognizes excellence, innovation, and impact in arthroplasty research.
Abstract Submission
Abstracts may be submitted specifically for the Young Investigator sessions in Ex Ordo, the ISTA submission platform, during the submission process by selecting the Young Investigator track, followed by Young Investigator Short talk / Poster format.
This initiative represents an exceptional opportunity for members of the under-35 community. We are delighted to introduce this format for the first time at an ISTA Congress, providing a well-deserved platform to recognize and promote the contributions of Young Investigators.
